Cinema and Television department organized a honour and high honour ceremony at 3:00 pm on the 14th of May, 2018 at the Faculty’s Purple Hall
At the commencement of the event, the department’s Chair Person, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahire Efe Özad congratulated the outstanding students, in her speech saying, “I am proud to say that the number of students receiving honor and high honor certificates has increased, the quality of videos produced by students in the department are amazing and I am glad at the reports I receive that our students are the best wherever they go”. She also hinted that new equipments were being provided to the department for effective learning and production.
At the end of her speech, two movies made by students from the Digital Media Master’s degree program were screened, both movies promoted an awareness about the Turkish and Greek feud and domestic violence against women. Certificates were distributed to the students after the screenings and lots of pictures were taken as a way to remember the event.
