In its drive to bridge the gaps between knowledge and practice by exposing students to the best form of professional practices in the industry, the Department of New Media and Journalism at Eastern Mediterranean University organized a seminar in collaboration with the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
The 3-day seminar, “TRTaKaDeMi” commenced on December 10, 2019, with its opening session held between the hours of 10.00 and 12.00 at the Faculty of Communication’s Purple Hall. Through this 3-day long training sessions, students of New Media and Journalism, as well as other departments in the Faculty, are expected to interact with professionals invited from TRT to keep up to date with skills in documentary production, news writing for television, digital and social media.
In attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ağah Gümüş (Faculty Dean), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy (Vice-Dean & Chair of New Media and Journalism Department), Prof. Dr. Bahire Özad (Chair of Cinema & Television Department), other Faculty members, Research Assistant, and students from across the departments of New Media & Journalism, Cinema & TV, Public Relations & Advertising, Visual Arts & Communication, respectively.
